Predation Substitute workshop - My spaniel and I were lucky enough to be able to join the trial workshop for this and I was really impressed by the session!
Now that we're coming into Autumn, there are squirrels everywhere, and this workshop gave some really good exercises and tips to engage with Darwin *before* the barking and chasing starts.
As ever, the workshop is all about positive engagement, reinforcement and strengthening the bond with your dog, and Meredith gave us all some great insight into how our dogs tend to hunt, from spaniels to sighthounds!
Looking forward to putting the exercises into practice and would highly recommend for any dog.

Darwin (4 yo springer/cocker cross) and I have done the Interactive Play and Fun Gundog workshops and I can't recommend them too highly.
He's not usually a play-motivated dog so it was great to learn some new ways to interact with him and build our engagement, and I came away with really concrete tips to keep working on when we're out and about.
The Fun Gundog workshop was exactly that - 2.5 hours of working with his natural abilities in a fun and positive way. We've done some pet gundog training before, so Meredith was able to build on our previous work and ensure that we kept Darwin (and me!) challenged and motivated.
These workshops are really practical, and I've also learned a lot from watching the other participants - it's great to be in such a supportive and positive training environment. Looking forward to the other workshops!
