Come do the activity your dog will love you for! Try out the fastest-growing sport and have a tonne of fun along the way!

Mantrailing, in addition to being a search and rescue technique, has also gained popularity as a sport for pet dogs. In this context, mantrailing is primarily a recreational activity that allows dogs and their owners to engage in a challenging and mentally stimulating pursuit.

As a sport, mantrailing involves setting up a scenario where a "missing" person creates a scent trail for the dog to follow. This can be done in various settings such as parks, forests, or urban environments. The dog's goal is to track and locate the "missing" person, guided solely by their scent.

In a mantrailing sport event, participants typically work in teams consisting of a dog and a handler. The handler is responsible for coordinating and communicating with the dog, while the dog's task is to follow the scent trail and find the "missing" person within a given timeframe.

The sport of mantrailing emphasizes the dog's natural abilities and exceptional sense of smell. It encourages dogs to use their noses to navigate complex scent puzzles, making it mentally stimulating and challenging for them. It also fosters a strong bond between the dog and their handler, as they work together as a team to solve the trail.

The sport of mantrailing offers several benefits for pet dogs and their owners. It provides mental stimulation, exercise, and an opportunity for dogs to use their natural instincts in a controlled and rewarding environment. It also allows owners to better understand their dog's behavior and enhance their communication skills.
Overall, mantrailing as a sport for pet dogs offers an exciting and engaging activity that taps into a dog's innate scenting abilities, promotes mental stimulation, and strengthens the bond between dog and owner.

The mantrailing intro is great, a fab afternoon getting to work with your dog on something they love to do! Great instruction from Meredith and it was brilliant to meet the other dogs and handlers. Loved seeing how the session was set up for even the most nervous and reactive dogs to succeed. Would highly recommend.

Mantrailing is great exercise for dogs, really makes them work and use their nose for what it's for.
The introduction day was great, Meredith explained everything really well as a result it was easy to get started with the instructions. Her advice and directions for improvement was great, making it easier for myself and Balor to participate and it was fun.

Balors confidance through the day really showed to improve, he was loving it by the end of the day.
It has also helped him with other areas, he is becoming more comfortable in situations that previously he would have been reactive.
I would recommend this to anyone who has a dog, even reactive dogs will benefit greatly from this and Meredith is a fantastic teacher.

Mantrailing is great fun for your dog and you to do together. My dog Fred loves it. Good easy steps training with Meredith. All together very enjoyable and one tired happy dog at the end. What more could a dog owner ask for?

I have to say this approach to mantrailing was amazing, the different routine alone makes the difference of setting your dog up for success and switching into working mode.
Made deference in our loose lead training which took a turn for ABIT.

This is a great outlet for your dog to be a dog working with different smells & environments definitely builds alot of confidence.

I have to say we both enjoyed it, especially Freya.

Meredith broke it down nicely, made it easy to understand, and made it so fun to learn.

When it's not your turn it's also so fun to watch other dogs work.
Highly recommend.

I highly recommend taking a Mantrailing course with your dog. It is incredible to see every dog in the class succeed at following the trail and it is so rewarding to see them work. It is suitable for all dog breeds, ages and personalities (even the reactive, less confident dogs). It is the perfect solution if you have dog that may need an outlet but might struggle in busier environments such as an agility class. Mere is a fantastic instructor and gives clear instructions.
